1. Purpose
1.1. The Association is a [non-profit organization] dedicated to advancing the science of Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling through international collaboration, scientific exchange, and community building, including through the organisation of the annual International PBPK Conference.
1.2. These Terms govern the use of the Website and the membership relationship between the User and the Association.
2. Membership
2.1. Eligibility. Membership is open to any individual with an interest in PBPK science. Two membership categories are available: Regular Membership and Student Membership (free of charge, subject to verification of enrolled student status).
2.2. Application. Membership applications are submitted via the membership form on the Website. The Association reserves the right to request supporting documentation to verify student status.
2.3. Duration. Membership is valid for one full year from the date payment is received (Regular Members) or from the date the application is submitted and accepted (Student Members), and must be renewed annually.
2.4. Fees. The Regular Membership fee is set out on the Website and is payable via our secure payment provider, Stripe. Membership fees are non-refundable once payment has been processed, except in the case of a duplicate payment or a technical error attributable to the Association.
2.5. Non-transferability. Membership is personal and may not be transferred, shared, or resold.
2.6. Termination. The Association reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership in case of a breach of these Terms, without obligation to refund any fees already paid.
3. Use of the Website
3.1. The User agrees to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Website by, any third party.
3.2. The Association reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Website, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1. All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, and the PBPK Nexus name and visual identity — is the property of the Association or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
4.2. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use any content from the Website without the Association's prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.
Payment Processing
5.1. All membership payments are processed by Stripe, an independent third-party payment provider. The Association does not store or have access to any User's card or bank account details.
5.2. The Association is not liable for any technical failure, delay, or error attributable to Stripe or to the User's payment method.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. The Association uses reasonable efforts to ensure the Website and its Services function properly but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
6.2. The Association shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Website or the Services, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6.3. The Association is not liable for the content of external websites linked from the Website, including pbpkconference.org or any third-party platform used in connection with the Services (Stripe, Fillout, Microsoft Excel Online and SharePoint).
7. Data Protection
7.1. The processing of Personal Data in connection with the Website and membership is governed by our [Privacy Policy], which forms an integral part of these Terms.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
8.1. These Terms are governed by Swiss law.
8.2. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory legal provisions to the contrary.

9.1. The Association reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The updated version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Website or renewal of membership after such changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
